Dell Monitor Driver E228wfp Windows 8

Driver

My system is a Dell XPS 8300 with an Intel i5-2310 processor. I'm using a Dell E228WFP monitor. After upgrade from W7 to W10 my monitor is hard to see. Every thing is 'dim', colors are washed out and text is hard to read. I have a hard time reading my MS Word documents, it seems the text went from black to gray.

Much of the background has become a terrible pink color, my address bar is pink, the header for this text box is pink, the backgrounds in many web pages are pink, etc. I have latest drivers for my monitor and I fiddled with it's controls (brightness, contrast) but to no avail. I'm regretting upgrading to 10. Before images are my monitor were very brilliant. Can this be fixed or should I return to W7? Hi, Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall latest display driver from manufacturer's website and make sure all win updates are installed. If there are no drivers for windows 10 I would suggest you to install in compatibility mode. Compatibility mode Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode: 1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk. 2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “ Properties”.
