Our Captian was named Ian. Ian was very knowledgable and entertaining. If not the best Captian I have ever gone fishing with. He put us on fish and we all limited out!!! Brought my 13 year o ld son with and he had a blast too!!!! Ian was patient and informative on fishing style presented as it was different from any other style We had encountered! Will be only booking with Ian from now on!!!

Hi-Lo came highly recommended so we booked and could not be more thrilled. The rooms at the lodge were immaculate, the service and attention to detail seco nd to none. We went fishing with our guide Stanley. No one was catching fish that day, neither did we, but the experience was awesome and company (our guide Stanley) was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the various spots to catch fish. It is not his fault they weren't biting that day.
Melissa is the most efficient, hardworking manager I have ever seen. She runs a tight ship and the pride in her job is evident. She recommended various trips, the one to Homer (the Time Bandit is there!) and Soldovia being a real highlight to our trip. We travel extensively and have never seen otters playing and cooing at each other from 5 feet away. Soldovia was truly amazing, quaint Russian fishing village.
Missed the chainsaw carving on Labor Day, but the winners were still displayed in the town, along with other winners from years past sprinkled throughout. The moose viewing was spectacular in the Kenai area, females and babies only, males were in season as were bears making the viewing scarce. All in all, I would not venture to stay ANYWHERE but here if I were visiting the Kenai Peninsula or looking to fish for salmon at anytime. Went up to do some fishing and sight seeing.
